People Friendly Design is an Access Consultancy with offices in London and Edinburgh.

We support the integration of practical measures to meet the needs of the widest range of people which complement the overall design. We offer advice to designers and managers of new and existing buildings, streets and transport systems to assist them in meeting their obligations under Equality Legislation.

Recent projects include adviser to the Olympic Delivery Authority on the park and venues for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and as LLDC adviser on the post Games transformation for Legacy uses.

People Friendly Design is headed by Tom Lister an NRAC consultant member with 20 years experience in the field of Access Consultancy. He is the author of a number of publications on Inclusive Design, an experienced trainer and a CABE Inclusive Design Built Environment Expert.

Tom has a construction background and is one of a small number of consultants working at a high level within the profession who can apply good practice in a way that is sensitive to the project context. He brings the experience gained from working with disabled people and advising on a diverse range of projects big and small, nationally and internationally, from new sports stadia to historically significant buildings and streetscapes.
